Land for Honeybees

South Street Honey Poly Nucs on our commercial site in Bridgwater

In a world where honey bees are crucial to our ecosystem, how can you help? The answer is simpler than you might think. In 1945, the UK boasted over 400,000 beehives, but today, in 2025, that number has dwindled less than half (ref Prof. Jeff Ollerton). This decline astonishing, given the essential role our pollinators play in our food supply.

We can place multiple hives on neglected or unproductive land —your land. The bees settle in quickly, and with regular visual (cuppa) inspections, we ensure the colonies thrive and perform their vital pollination work. By hosting hives on your property, you are directly supporting the local ecosystem, enhancing pollination rates, which in turn helps increase crop production and yield. We're always seeking spaces our hives—whether it’s orchards, paddocks, even building flat roofs!!!! Our hives remain permanently on your land year-round, as moving them can harm the bees. We also manage the upkeep of the surrounding grass, ensuring the area stays clean and tidy.

And yes, we do put hives on flat roofs............
