Beekeeper with Bees

Hive visits for the inquisitive.

2025

We are passionate about bees and beekeeping, and we love sharing that passion with others. Join us a unique opportunity to experience bees up close and personal, led by beekeeper and South Street founder, James. The time includes some essential honeybee and beekeeping theory, a unique opportunity to have time with some of our colonies and of course James. Plently of time to blast questions at James, taste honey straight from the frame, and of course hands-on time in the bees. Each experience is different, with varying locations in some of Somerset's most stunning countyside. The experiences work around the bees, they can be happy bees, and sometime grumpy. This will give a very real insight into the hives, their ups and downs ensuring a one-of-a-kind adventure.

Our experience sessions are conducted in small groups. We provide bee suits and gloves, but you'll need to bring your own clean wellies. Please note that the days are weather-dependent, and you'll receive confirmation 24 hours in advance. We prioritize the health of our honeybees, and your safety is our top concern; we are fully insured. A disclaimer will be required, and unfortunately, those with bee allergies cannot participate.
Our experience afternoons and days are for all ages. We are using these experience times to share the love of bees. Some of the days will have a professional photographer with the group.
